Top 10 Best Vegan Eyeshadow Palettes

It can be so frustrating searching for decent vegan and cruelty-free eyeshadow palettes! If one shade contains carmine or another animal derived ingredient, the whole palette is no longer vegan and 90% of the time it is impossible to buy the shades individually.

Thankfully, switching to a cruelty-free lifestyle does not mean missing out on quality pigmented eyeshadows and those deep red wine shades that are very trendy at the moment.

I have compiled a list of 10 awesome vegan makeup palettes for any plant-based beauty junkies out there struggling to find quality eyeshadow. These palettes are in no particular order and were chosen based on personal experience and online reviews. Most of them are neutral shades with a few pops of color and of course, none are tested on animals!

Let me know what you think of these palettes by leaving a comment at the bottom of this page! What are your go-to eyeshadow palettes?

1. Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette ($45)

This palette is notoriously always sold out, but if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on it, you won’t be disappointed! It includes 20 highly pigmented matte, shimmer and satin shades with adorable names. This is a great staple eyeshadow palette that can create a ton of looks!

2. 100% Pure Pretty Naked II Palette ($45)

This palette is made with 100% natural ingredients and even pigmented with fruit! It includes a highlighter, blush and three eyeshadows that can all be used interchangeably. If you are a green beauty or natural products lover, this palette is for you!

3. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette ($36)

Tarte is known for creating amazing eyeshadow formulas, and this palette is no exception! It features eight beautiful matte and metallic shades inspired by the sea. This palette is limited edition and very reasonably priced. It is definitely one of my favorites!

4. Makeup Geek Vegan Variety Bundle ($50)

Makeup Geek shadows are so amazing that I couldn’t help but include this vegan bundle! These shadows come as individual pans but can be placed in any magnetic pro palette such as a Z Palette. If you love one shade but can’t commit to all nine, you can purchase each one individually from their website.

5. Lily Lolo Laid Bare Eye Palette ($34)

Lily Lolo is another green beauty brand that uses only natural ingredients. This palette has amazing reviews and is often considered a good alternative to the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. You can use these colors to create dramatic night time looks or more natural looks for day to day.

6. Carli Bybel x BH Cosmetics Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette ($15)

This palette is the least expensive on the list, but you really get a bang for your buck with 10 neutral warm eyeshadows and 4 highlight shades. The colors are all complimentary and very trendy at the moment. If you are looking for a quality yet inexpensive vegan eyeshadow palette as a gift or for yourself, this would be perfect!

7. Kat Von D Pastel Goth Eyeshadow Palette ($38)

This brand new palette from Kat Von D has been all over YouTube and Instagram! It contains eight difficult to find colorful pastel shades. This palette would be great if you want to experiment with color, or to simply add a pop of color to a mostly neutral look!

8. SUVA Beauty Neutral Necessity Palette ($50)

SUVA Beauty is known to have insanely pigmented eyeshadows. This palette contains eight pans of staple matte shades. They can be swapped out for any other shades once you hit pan. If neutrals aren’t your thing, you can also find the uber colorful Cupcakes and Monsters palette on their website!

9. Pacifica Power of Love Palette ($20)

This ’70s inspired palette (I think?) is infused with coconut water to create buttery and pigmented eyeshadows. Not only is Pacifica a 100% vegan brand, but they use all-natural ingredients as well! I love how this palette includes a variety of nuetral and bold colors!

10. Too Faced Natural Matte Eye Palette ($36)

The last palette on my list is perfect for someone looking for a natural everyday eyeshadow collection. It includes a few soft and sexy eyeshadows as well as some darker shades to create a more dramatic look. I could see myself reaching for this palette daily!

Bonus: ColourPop All Nighter Foursome ($18)

This eyeshadow quad isn’t a palette, but I couldn’t leave ColourPop off the list! These four shades can be used together or incorporated into any other makeup look. My favorite is Vega, a super-intense champagne color!
