Too Faced Born This Way Foundation Review

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation Review

Too Faced’s Born This Way Foundation has been one of my go-to’s for the past year or so. I love the foundation because it has a super light and natural finish, but has medium coverage that can easily be built up. After purchasing my second bottle, I can safely say I love this foundation! If you are looking for an awesome everyday vegan and cruelty-free foundation, I would go with Born This Way!

Formula

The foundation itself has a pretty thin formula but thickens up a little after it starts to dry. It applies smoothly with a beauty blender or sponge but also looks great when applied with your fingers! I know it is always better to use a sponge or brush but if I am in a hurry I don’t mind applying this foundation with my fingers.

The Finish

The finish of this foundation is semi-matte on my skin. For reference, I have fairly dry skin but I use a lot of skin oils and moisturizers. This foundation could look a little dewier depending on what setting powder you use but it never looks shiny or “wet” to me. It is matte enough that you don’t really even need to set it if you have drier skin.

In my opinion, one of the best things about this foundation is the finish because it just looks like perfect skin. It looks extremely smooth and the perfect balance between dewy and matte!

Wear

This foundation does have great staying power and never breaks up on my skin. I have never had issues with this foundation sticking to dry patches or settling in creases and wrinkles. At a price of $40.00, you really do get what you pay for.

Packaging

I love the packaging of this foundation because it feels high quality and well made. But unfortunately, I do feel like you are getting less product than it looks because of the thick glass packaging.

The packaging makes it very difficult to tell how much product you have left because it is not actually clear but colored opaque the color of the foundation shade. This means that even if you are out of product, it will look like you have a full bottle of foundation.

The pump doesn’t help either because you never know if you are really out of product or if the pump just doesn’t reach. The pump is very convenient at first but I wish there was a way to remove it and get the last few drops.

Bottom line

This foundation really does leave your skin looking naturally baby soft and flawless. It is a great foundation for everyday use to class or work but is full enough coverage to work for a glam night out look as well.

It can be kind of pricey ($40) but one bottle does end up lasting me a few months. The price is the only negative aspect, but at least for me, the higher quality is worth the higher price!
