Caring for Your Physical Health

Being inside with everything shut down may take a toll on your physical body. I know it has on mine. Before everything was closed, I went to Ping almost every day with my friends, and I tried to eat healthy and get a reasonable amount of sleep. Nowadays, it’s hard for me to be able to treat my body well. I’ve realized that just allowing myself to stay in place and keep treating my body poorly has taken a toll on me.

This laziness and staying inside has caused me to go to bed at four in the morning and wake up at noon or later. Since fast food places are mostly open, that’s what I’ve been eating, and filling my body with grease has seriously caused me to feel worse. I knew caring for my physical body was necessary, but I should’ve taken better steps for it during this lockdown. I feel it’s easy to fall into a pattern due to being stuck inside.

Recently, I’ve started buying more fruits and vegetables to make food here so I don’t have to go out and buy any. I want something with nutrients that will make my body feel better and my stomach less upset. I’m attempting to go to bed earlier because it has greatly affected my mood and caused me to be exhausted all day. I need more sleep to think properly and to be able to go about my day without feeling tired. I have a small workout part in my house, and while it’s not much, I’m going to utilize it as much as I can with all this free time. I already feel a change as my body isn’t so tired anymore. It’s going to take a bit, but caring for the body is so important.

Maybe some of you can relate, or I just got really lazy during quarantine. Either way, it’s necessary to know what you’re doing to your body and what it needs. You can feel it, and making even small changes can help your health get better. I know it can be harder in quarantine, but I wanted to feel better and less worn down.

Always listen to your body; you’ll know what it needs. Breaking habits can be hard and forcing yourself to do things can be annoying but worth it.
